Come by Uncle's Bar and Social Club on June 27 for some socializing and helping our neighbors!
We'll be out on the porch starting at 4:00 to collect donations. We encourage you to hang out and have a beverage with us!
Last fall, Archuleta Dems raised more than $7,000 for local food share programs. But grants for some programs are expiring, and rising food costs mean the need is greater than ever.
Cash donations are especially helpful -- they give programs maximum flexibility. You can make checks out to Healthy Archuleta or Community United Methodist Church. (Put food share in the memo line.)
Community United Methodist Church has a specific wishlist for its Market Style Food Share. Requested items include:
- Personal care items such as soap, shampoo, and deodorant
- Tea bags
- Dish soap
- Laundry sheets
- Trash bags
- First-aid supplies
- Paper products such as toilet paper, paper towels, and facial tissues
- Condiments such as mustard, ketchup, and mayonnaise
- Sugar
- Pet food, especially large bags of dry cat or dog food
- Bags of shredded cheese
- Single-serving juice boxes
- Shelf stable snacks
- Ramen noodles, especially bowls
